Furnished luxurious suite on red line (Wheaton)
This is an ad for a 550 sq ft luxurious suite with a private bathroom and private entrance that is furnished as shown in the pictures.
Location: We are a ~12-minute walk from the Wheaton stop on the red line of the DC Metro, just north of the DC Beltway (I-495). Union Station, in downtown DC, is a 22-minute ride from Wheaton. NIH is a 11-minute drive. A 13-minute RideOn Route 34 also works. Metro buses Q1, Q2, Q4, Q5, and Q6 get you to downtown (northern) Rockville. Catholic University is a 15 minute metro ride. A Safeway grocery store is right at the metro, and we're within walking distance to the biggest shopping complex on the metro (including Target, Costco, Giant Food, Macys, 80 nearby restaurants, and 16 bars).
About the neighborhood --- it's about the safest in the DC area, with 21% the violent crime rate of DC and 60% that of Bethesda.
Suite: It has a 42" tv with a 7.0 surround sound setup, queen bed, desk, keyed lock for extra security, dresser, microwave, coffee station, fridge, and a closet with an iron and ironing board. The currents subscription give you HBO/MAX, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, about 10K Roku channels, about 30 over the air channels, and also anything a browser could show. There's a coffee station with coffee. New deep padded carpet with a special flooring layer means no specs of dust on the bottom of your feet and good noise absorption/isolation. There's wireless, but there's also a wired connection because wireless isn't as secure and can't make full use of our fiber optic connection. There's central AC and heat to whatever temperature you want. Everything not new in the room was washed, including the pillows.
House details: The suite is largely self contained, but it gives access to a large house with a working fireplace, weight room, and laundry room. The kitchen has most of the gadgets you blissfully but mistakenly thought you'd use. All of the dishes are sterilized and placed back. This allows the sink to be empty almost all of the time. All of the common areas are cleaned regularly; there would not be any chores you'd need to do or worry about. There's a deck, outdoor grill, hammock, and flower garden. There are also a guest room and a movie room for entertaining.
House atmosphere: If you are an extrovert feel free to join us in our occasional game nights.
Voting rights: Being a highly democratic house, we are able to vote about various issues including who can next move in. This voting process takes less than 24 hours, but requires paying $50 towards the security deposit. It's refunded if you are rejected by anyone, but if we all say yes and you decide on to live elsewhere, it isn't refunded. So, please don't pay until you've verified that this place is your favorite.
