Shivanah S - $3,000/month

Hey everyone ! I'm Shiv, a 25yo Aussie tech girlie moving to NYC for work ! I'm from Perth but am moving from Sydney, and I'm looking for a lease starting around mid - late October, but I'm flexible with those dates.

I would describe myself as quite a social person, especially now since I'm new to NYC, but I also enjoy my personal time and would always respect that of my roommates as well. In my spare time I love checking out new restaurants and bars, going to gigs, watching new movies, going to dance classes, learning / practicing my Spanish and shopping more than an NYC room will allow for. I'm excited to take in every experience the city has to offer. I also love travel, but can see myself waiting until I'm more settled into the city before being away too much.

I'm an early riser since I love exercising in the morning, usually at a nearby pilates class. I'll be in the office most days of the week but have the option to work from home sometimes. I'm not much of a chef during the week but will try and meal prep on the weekend. I've lived in shared houses for 5 years now and have the habits of respecting a shared space - whether that be cleanliness, being conscious of noise, or keeping up open communication about any questions or concerns.

I'd love to meet up with anyone in a similar situation and see whether we could look for places together, or see if I'd be a good fit for a room anyone is looking to fill. I'll be in NYC from September 19th onwards so I'd love to catch up then!
