The master room in a 3 BR/2 BA is available and can be rented furnished or unfurnished—I am currently gone but will update pics when I return next weekend to show the room furnished. I share the hall bath with the other roommate, Derek, and the master has its own en suite bathroom. Must be LGBTQ+ friendly and a non-smoker as Derek is gay and I have allergies and eczema. No cats or dogs, but we would consider other pets. The house has a great outdoor space, and you can hear birds and cicadas despite being just a few minutes from the highway. There’s ample street parking, and we live on a quiet residential street where it’s safe to come home or leave at any hour. We’re just minutes from exit 91 on I-85, with convenient access to CHOA, Emory, Decatur, and Brookhaven and a short commute to Buckhead, Midtown, and Sandy Springs.

Derek mostly keeps to himself and likes to work in the yard, but he’s friendly and kind. I work in-office most of the week and typically am remote one day. I’m often gone for 12+ hours on weekdays due to a demanding job and the gym, but I like to catch up with roommates when we coincide at home, and I like to be social on weekends. Usually that’s outside the house and often doing something active, but I will occasionally have a friend or two over to watch a game or movie, drink wine on the back patio with neighbors, or host a small dinner party (roommates are invited). Friends and visitors are welcome, including for a few days at a time with a heads up.

Derek and I are considerate and clean (shoes off in the house, surfaces wiped down after cooking, and shared spaces vacuumed weekly), and we’re looking for someone with those same qualities. I’ve shared places with roommates for 15 years, including abroad, and those are the two dealbreakers for me (in addition to smoking or vaping). I also value direct communication—if there’s anything bothering a roommate, I prefer that they tell me so that we can talk about it (and find a resolution if relevant). Derek and I are both very tolerant of differences and will welcome any kind of background (except for maybe the criminal type). Bonus points for someone who speaks Spanish and won’t mind if I put some reggaeton or salsa on while cleaning.
