About Me

I'm a student at UBC. I'm pretty nerdy, pretty chill, and 50/50 introvert and extrovert. I'm a science major (hoping to go to med school after my undergrad), but I also like photography, writing, art, and other not-so-science-y hobbies. I'm also a trans guy, and I'm on the autism spectrum, though you wouldn't know it most of the time. I don't currently have any pets here, but I love animals and would be very open to a roommate who had one.

I'm looking for someone who wants to be friends as well as roommates. I'm happy having deep conversations or just hanging out, but either way, I'd like us to be friendly, not just coexisting. I'm pretty flexible about a roommate's lifestyle. Messiness is fine, and I don't mind if we have different sleep schedules or different ideas about food. The only things I'm picky about are that you're not a smoker, and you're open-minded and accepting.

3rd floor apartment near UBC campus - looking for new roommate

I'm looking for a new roommate to move in to a third floor, quite nice quality apartment with a great park view, about a block from UBC campus. The building is from the 50s and has great character, but the apartment was also renovated very recently, so it's up to modern-day quality - the best of both worlds. Ideal move-in time would be either in April/May, or in August.

- Fully furnished shared living/dining room is spacious and includes couch, saucer chair, tv, printer, and tables.

- Shared kitchen includes fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric stove with oven, and microwave. It comes complete with cookware, dishes, utensils, blender, and toaster.

- Shared Bathroom has a bath, shower and large mirror.

- Bedroom will be unfurnished, but includes one regular closet and one walk-in closet with lots of storage space.

- Heat and hot water are included in rent.

- Wifi is set up and costs $33 per month. Renter's insurance (required by the building) is $24 per month. Electricity is about $10 per month on average.

- I have no pets, but the building is pet-friendly and I love animals so pets or service animals are welcome.

- Building has mailboxes, a laundry room with washing machines and dryers, and a storage garage for bicycles.

- Building is located right next to a shopping hub which includes a grocery store, several cafes and food places, a staples, a dollar store, a pharmacy, a bank, and several other businesses. We overlook a park, we're a block away from the UBC campus, and we're right next to bus stops for the 04, 14, and 99.
