Alaina K - $800/month

I’m Alaina. I’m originally from Missouri City, Texas, but I’m looking to move closer to my place of work in West Houston. In my free time, I like to spend my time outside, either alone or with others. On the weekends, I often spend time with my dog, workout, or spend time outdoors. I have a white husky/lab mix. She is 3 years old and is friendly with other pets and people.

I graduated last year from Texas A&M University. I’m currently working as an Environmental Chemist, and I work from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays. During the week, I’m usually in bed by 10 and up by 5. On the weekends I have a looser schedule but am still an early riser.

I like to keep common living spaces pretty clean. I do my dishes every other day and put away my belongings when I get home from work. I’m open to the idea of a cleaning schedule to keep things organized.

My monthly budget is $800, and I’m looking to move in during May. I’m hoping to find an apartment near the Energy Corridor but am open to other places as long as it’s around a 30-minute commute. I would like my own bedroom and bathroom.

I’m hoping to find someone who likes animals and is pretty neat. I also might invite a few friends over from time to time and would prefer a roommate who has small gatherings over large parties and doesn’t go out too much on weeknights. I would also like someone who is open to the idea of sharing meals and getting to know each other so we don’t feel like total strangers, but also like their own personal time. I would like to live with another girl around my age, 22-27.
