I'm considering renting out the upstairs of my country home. This is more than just renting a room! You'll have two private upstairs rooms (one bedroom and a second you can use as a bedroom, office, hobby or gaming room), your own full bathroom, and the upstairs floor to yourself.

You'll also have shared access to most of the house: a full kitchen with dishwasher, living room with fireplace, washer/dryer, basement workout room and spacious yard. I live downstairs. My bedroom and personal game room will stay private, and part of the hallway may be closed off.

I want you to feel at home, not like a guest. You're welcome to paint your upstairs rooms any color without having to repaint when you leave (just protect the floors and trim). Have furniture or decorations? We can work together to furnish and decorate the shared living room, but no painting that room. An extra queen-size bed is available if needed.

I have two house cats who stay downstairs and out of your private upstairs space. Renters' cats are welcome too. Vaping is fine indoors, but NO smoking anything that burns inside. Outdoor smoking is allowed with proper cleanup.

I work full-time, enjoy a peaceful home, and respect privacy. I'm looking for someone considerate who pays rent on time, keeps shared areas reasonably clean and takes care of the property.

MOVE-IN: Just the first month's rent ($1,100 or $1,250). No additional security deposit or last month's rent upfront. Screening and a written rental agreement required. I'd prefer an initial 3-month lease, then month-to-month. Long-term renters welcome!
