Looking for a roommate in Manhattan - New York

John S - $1,900/month

About Me

I am a lab manager in the psychology department at Columbia. I am looking for someone who would like to share a two-bed room somewhere on the west-side or even in Queens/Brooklyn if we find something worth-while. I also have a current roommate and I live in the Upper West Side, but he is moving out in August. I haven't asked if I can sign with a new roommate yet, but half the rent is $1,828 and I would like to find something more affordable.

It would be great to live with someone who is interested in exploring the city or having guests over every once in awhile. We don't need to do everything together, but I am not looking for simple cohabiting situation.

I love getting rush tickets to the New York Philharmonic and going to art museums. I have taught yoga on campus for about two years and enjoy going to the gym. Something I am really looking forward to is a having a nice living that is welcoming to be in (I have a small couch!) and a place where we can hosts our friends every once in a awhile. If you think we would get along, please reach out! I am hoping to look seriously into places mid-July!
