About Me

I'm Eliana. While I grew up mostly in the Boston and Seattle suburbs, I consider New York City my truest home. My friends might describe me as friendly, spontaneous, smart, and independent. In my free time, I like to rock climb (mostly indoors but always looking for people to climb with in all kinds of settings), go to concerts, and social dance.

I'm looking for a room in Greenpoint, Williamsburg, Bushwick, or Ridgewood that could fit a full-sized bed, a bookcase, and some extra storage. My budget is $600-$900. In my perfect world, I'll be a 10 minute walk from L or less. I'm super open to a sublet or a longer lease.

I currently work as a business analyst for a large corporation. My hours tend to be 9 to 5, so I wake up around 8am and go to bed around midnight. While I don't go out every weekend, I am out until 2am on a reasonably regular basis on the weekends. My schedule varies a lot week to week and month to month but in general, I tend to be home a lot.

I want my house to be a place where I can have people and romantic partners over occasionally, but not a place that's constantly full of people. I'm open to the idea of my roommates hosting parties - I would just like to know about these ahead of time. If you're having someone over, just text me before it happens. As long as they aren't in the house constantly, I don't mind having your romantic partner around. I'd like to live with someone who is open to being friends. Ideally, we'd be friendly with each other and occasionally have a conversation or watch TV together.

In terms of cleanliness, while I'm naturally messy (messy, not dirty, which means that my personal hygiene is good and I don't eat in my bedroom), I care about keeping common areas clean. Given that, I know that I can commit to a cleaning schedule, doing dishes relatively promptly (within 24 hours, if not sooner), and keeping my stuff contained to my room. That said, if you need your living space to be extremely clean most of the time, we probably won't be a good fit.

Personal quirks: I'm allergic to cats, so I can't live with yours, unfortunately. I'm potentially open to living with the right dog. I don't mind smokers as long they don't smoke inside the house. I can't stand loud chewers, but if you play music or TV while you're eating and I'm in the room, it should be just fine.
