The Conduit is a diverse group 7 artists and weirdos sharing a large turn of the century vic in Oakland California.
We are a co-ed living space with various nationalities and backgrounds. We are LGBTQ & BIPOC friendly.
The majority of our current housemates are musicians and artists, work in the service and information industry, or otherwise contribute to the local community.
We keep a tidy house, and all housemates contribute about 4 hours per month.
We have a massive kitchen that is a dream to cook in, a library, multiple co-working areas, a shared studio, and a workshop.
The house tends to be quiet and cool, but can also be chaotic. While many of us work music events and nightlife, we are very good about not bringing the party home. It's not uncommon to run into housemates at all hours of the day and night.
The neighborhood is transit friendly with a 90 walk score, great eateries, galleries, and parks all within a mile. There are four grocery stores easily accessible. SF by car is about 10 minutes, and public transit about 30 minutes.
Our space is great for folks interested in relocating to the bay area and need a safe, efficient space with good people.
Our space is especially great for musicians and artists who can leverage our social connections and shared work-spaces.
This profile and values set are a rough estimation of our current group.
