About Me

Hi!

I am a production manager at AMDA (American Musical and Dramatic Academy) here in New York City, I have a sweet little pup named Penelope. Before the pandemic, my schedule ranged from later hours (work starts at 10 pm - 2 or 3 am) Since I work at a school we can only really work on tech after the classes are over, and on weekends I would work around 8 am - roughly 6 pm. I've worked at this place for 5 years so I've learned how to keep quiet when I arrive late at home. my dog is super friendly and rarely ever barks unless someone new enters the apartment and she hasn't said her occasional hello pet me now.

because of my strenuous work hours, I tend to just relax in my room if not sleeping. I am a big video game/movie/music/podcast/ all-around arts nerd. I am a big fan of communication between roommates and if a problem arises I believe its better solved figuring a solution that works best for everyone at that moment.

I rarely have people over but have no problem if you like bringing friends over! all my socializing happens outside the home, so I use that moment to recharge and prepare for the day.

I am also deaf in my right ear, which is one of the reasons communication is key for me, since I may have not heard or misunderstood you.

during the pandemic, I am a video editor for the same school as well as doing other outside projects, but the goal for going back in person is doing November so the first month or so I'll be around more often.

Available Room for Rent

Looking for a someone to sublet.

Hi!
I am currently looking for someone to sublet a room I have open for a 12 months lease, the occupant before had to move back home due to COVID fears around his family. I keep my surroundings clean and mainly keep to myself in my room for work or relaxing, though that doesn't mean I wouldn't mind a conversation or two! I am also not a big party person, though am 4/20 friendly. I have an adorable pup named Penelope who simply loves people and loves pets, though I try to teach her boundaries when involving going into other people's rooms.

The room in question is large, fits a queen bed and other accessories, a large window, and a decent size closet. also, there is a closet in the hallway for extra storage.

the only thing needed is a signature for a sublet form that protects both of us, and 1000$ deposit as well as first month's rent.

the apartment is close to the A blue train, and the 1 red train off of the Dyckman stop. there is two very large parks and hiking spots to see a great view of the river and nature. a lot of bars and restaurants nearby, as well as many fast food places if you prefer grabbing something quick.

I may be forgetting some other important stuff so feel free to message me and I would be more than happy to answer any questions!
