I'm a children's book editor and author living in NYC. My current roommate (of nine years!) is moving in with her boyfriend, so I'm in search of someone to fill her room. I like cooking, baking, yoga, exploring the city, going to museums, writing in cafes, and often take weekend trips to visit family in the summer. As a roommate I'm clean, quiet, and above all considerate. I grew up with a sister, went to college and lived with three roommates, and the moved to NYC with my current roommate. I love living with other people, and am looking with someone who shares my style of living.

This sunny, spacious apartment is a real sanctuary from the city!
The open bedroom features three extra-tall windows, very high ceilings, and access to a large closet in the common area. It easily fits a queen size bed and other furniture (my current roommate has two bureaus, a desk, a chair, and hamper in there currently).
The apartment has wood floors throughout, AC in window units in bedrooms and living room. Although it's a walk-up, it's only on the second floor so just one flight of stairs.
As my roommate provided most of the common area furniture, I've purchased brand-new sectional couch, 50" Apple TV, dining table, chairs, and assorted decorations. I think of my apartment as my safe bubble within the excitement of the city, and I hope you will, too!
Better still, it's conveniently located in the UES, 2 minutes from the Q and 10 minutes from the 456. Within blocks you have access to Whole Foods, Gristedes, Wayfair, Duane Reade, and CVS. Trader Joe's, Target, and Costco are a short busride away. The apartment is walking distance from Central Park, and even closer to the river park.
I have lived here for two years and have absolutely loved it, and am looking for someone who will love it, too!
