Hello everyone! My name is Alyssa and I am a 26-year-old African American from the South (She/Her). I am looking for either an available room with 1-2 roommates or to move into a new spot with 1-2 roommates in Brooklyn. I am open to most areas of BK but I would prefer Bedstuy, Williamsburg or Bushwick. MAY 30- JULY 1 MOVE IN! Budget is between $1100 & $1400.

About me:
I am a High School teacher. I teach at a wonderful school in BK. I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama but have been living in NY since 2018. This fall I will begin working towards my masters at NYU. Between work, school, and visiting my bf in CT I think it's safe to say that I won’t be home very much once the school year starts this fall. I am a very clean, kind and respectful roommate who values a peaceful home life. I love music, food, dance, yoga and the outdoors! I am very easygoing and down to earth.

What I am looking for in an apartment:
Private bathroom
In unit laundry preferred but in building is a must
Bedrooms on opposite ends in unit
Windows/natural light & or a balcony or rooftop
Central heat and AC
Doorman preferred
Stainless steel appliances
No higher than a second floor walk up
1 year lease or sublease

What I am looking for in a roommate:
very clean
very respectful
hookah friendly (I want to smoke in my bedroom)
friendly in general lol
kind
okay with occasional guests visiting the apartment and sleeping over (every now and then)
Mid to upper 20s
Does not fully work from home
Pays apartment bills on time and in full
Vaccinated
No pets
