I am a recent graduate of NYU from the Acting department, and do photography as well! I was currently living in a 4 bedroom apartment in the East Village with some friends. But each is parting in different ways. I know this pandemic makes things super uncertain. I am looking to move in August-- if not, September.
I will be working a part-time job at an Equinox whenever that reopens, and then doing some work at home since I will be auditioning making self-tapes. Any work I do with acting/auditioning not inside the apartment are projects/gigs. For photography, my plan is to have a headshot business. I would be having clients (mostly people that I know/ mutual friends especially at the beginning) in and out of the apartment for sessions, but don't worry, not all the time, this would be scattered out. I'd be SUPER cautious and safe, as I know this is a home address and you have to be extra careful in the city, especially as a woman. Also, a bonus as a roommate, we can get some high qual pics and have a lot of fun doing fun photo sessions!!
I am clean! Everything doesn't need to be tidy every second, but clean where we feel like we aren't surrounded by filth and mess.
I like to be a great communicator - voicing needs/wants, express what's on your mind. I don't like building up resentment down the road. I like to be approachable with that too so that it doesn't make it hard on the other person to talk!
I think being friends with a roommate is a best situation while also being able to have our own time and space. I am down to happy hour, catch up after the day/ week, watching Bachelor together, and then being able to spend our own time in quiet/ in our own rooms listening to music/watching television/on the phone etc.
I am pretty easy going with guests, as long as we're all on the same page; if you're in a relationship and wanna bring your partner overnight that's fine with me, as long as it doesn't come to a point where they have become another roommate/ if you're dating I don't mind overnight guests. Just as long as we are making sure we are on the same page and respect each other's space, I'm cool.
Let's chat if you feel like this vibes with you!
