I moved to Brooklyn in 2018 and work as a Data Analyst on the UWS. Previously I lived in DC where I conducted neuropsychological research on cognition in schizophrenia - before that I went to school at Wesleyan University and before THAT I grew up in Berkeley, CA. Outside of work I love going to movies, museums, thrifting (I sporadically run an Etsy store selling vintage clothing) and a good sauna at the gym!

Available Room for Rent
Room in beautiful renovated building steps away from C train
Looking for someone to move in to my sweet, sunny room in a 3bed/1bath apartment Feb. 15 - July 31 with option to sign on to the lease.
The apt: Very recently renovated place, which means 1. it is very clean and 2. we have nice modern appliances and fixtures like a dishwasher, central A/C, separate room radiator control, fridge and freezer with many compartments for your frozen goods, bathroom with a deep tub, a small gym (weights, treadmill, elliptical, bike, TV for your viewing pleasure) in the basement, along with freshly installed credit card laundry. We also have a nice roof with Manhattan views. Our unit is a second floor walk-up in the back of the building.
The room: Currently has full bed, large dresser, bedside table, chair and shelving. Could fit a desk or queen bed. Has lots of potential for wall shelving. Large window that lets out onto a fire escape, with a nice view of a backyard area. Good size and very tall closet. Can come furnished or unfurnished - willing to negotiate on this!
The area: 1 block away from Franklin C (and shuttle), about a 6 minute walk to Nostrand A/C, 10 minutes to the G. I couldn't ask for more in a neighborhood, it's easy to get almost anywhere in Brooklyn, and about a 10 minute subway ride into Manhattan. There are also many many amazing restaurants, cafes, bars and the like walking distance in any direction.
The roomies/vibe: You would be living with 2 women in their mid twenties who work (give or take) 9-5 work week hours. The vibe is friendly and laid back and the apartment is usually quiet at night and on the weekends. We like to check in on each other and communicate well but don't often see much of each other as we do a good amount of traveling or exploring the city when we aren't working. Technically (small) pets are allowed and none of us have a pet, but rlly love them, so if that's something you're interested in we can discuss! There is a lot of room to make this place your own if you're into it.
The move in date is Feb 15 with first month's rent + security deposit. Proof of stable income required.
