About the room.

This is a 3 story semi-detached house, end unit and with a backyard. You would get the whole upstairs (master bedroom, a second bedroom, and the main bathroom - I only use the shower). We would share the main living room (I just use the treadmill), kitchen, laundry room and backyard. There is also a good size gym in the garage, and cardio equipment (treadmill, exercise bikes) in the living room. I mostly stay in the basement. The nearest bus stop is on the front lawn but there is another one on Innes Rd. The place is also close to multiple stores across the street (Metro, Shoppers, Dollar store, Banks, Dental and much more) as well as restaurants (Tim’s, Blackburn Arms, Subway, and others). $1000 includes Hydro, Gas, Water, Internet, TV, and 1 parking spot.

About me

I moved back to Ottawa, my hometown 5 years ago from living in the GTA for 20 years. I moved into this house with my best friend but after 3 years he had to move out to take care of family. My current roommate has been here for the last year and half. The rent is great and it’s hard to find anything the same size for the cost. I can afford the place on my own but the whole upstairs is empty. So I thought I could cut my expenses and hopefully give someone a nice place at an affordable cost. I don’t own the place, I’m a tenant as well. As my outgoing roommate is a woman I’m hoping to keep the status quo. I’m a full-time high school teacher and have been teaching for the last 20 years. My work is pretty stressful so I need my home life to be the opposite. I live a pretty quiet life. I’m a very clean, organized, love routine, love to cook and I’m a very sociable person. I am usually pretty tired when I get home, but I try to work out 5 times a week in my gym or go for walks around the neighbourhood with friends. I used to be a practicing RMT for 20 years as well but I’m now retired. One of the rooms upstairs is still a therapy room with all my equipment. Both my jobs have required me to pass a background check multiple times. I’m allergic to cats and most dogs, so I am looking for someone who does not have a pet.
