I'm Hannah. I'm originally from Ohio, but I've been living in New York for the past two years. My friends would describe me as easy-going, fun-loving, driven, and independent. In my free time, I like to spend my time outside, either alone or with others. I like to go out, meet people, go to shows and free events. I like to keep busy and love being with people.

I'm an artist working in activism, retail, and other side gigs. My schedule is pretty irregular at times, but it depends on the gig. During the weekdays I normally go to bed around 12am or 1am and wake up around 8-9am. On the weekends, I'm usually asleep by 1 or 2 and up around 9 or 10.

‍I'm a pretty social person, but I also need my alone time. I want my house to be a place where I can have people over, but not a place that's constantly full of people. I'm open to the idea of my roommates hosting small parties - I would just like to know about these ahead of time. I'm down to get to know each other; I'm not saying we have to be best friends, but I would like to do things like occasionally watch TV together and host cookouts for friends. If you're not open to the idea of sharing a meal together every once in a while or having a glass of wine together, we're probably not a good fit.

I like to keep common living spaces pretty clean. I do my dishes every day and put away my belongings when I get home from work. I'm open to the idea of a cleaning schedule to keep things organized, but hoping we can trust each other to pick up after ourselves.

My monthly budget is $800, and I'm looking to move in sometime during September or by October 1st at the latest. I'm hoping to find an apartment in Bed-Stuy or Bushwick. I currently live in Bed-Stuy and love my neighborhood and it's important to me to be friendly and connected to my neighbors. I would like my own bedroom, and I'm open to living with 1-3 other people. Ideally, the apartment would have a yard or outdoor space, including roof access. If the bedrooms are sized differently enough to justify different prices, I'm happy staying in the larger or smaller room.

Here are some quirks and relevant information: I'm an environmentalist, so I'm big into unplugging appliances that aren't being used, turning off lights, composting, recycling, redusing and reusing, etc. I have reusable shopping bags available for everyone to use. I enjoy living in a communal environment that feels connected and where everyone feels heard and understood. I like to smoke weed and would love a roommate that enjoys the same. I'm very sex-positive and value open communication and shame-free living. I clean quite a bit but that's partly because I have allergies, so no pets, unfortunately. But I'm open to having pets visit!
