Seeking queer-friendly roommate in Astoria

I am a 40 year old professional male looking for a new roommate to sublet the other room in my apartment. Preferably someone who is flexible with their move-in date, as the room isn’t available until at least July 1st.

The apartment is a 4th floor walkup off the Broadway stop in Astoria. We are right around the corner from the subway, with several grocery stores, laundromats, and delis within a few blocks. We’re also right by one of Astoria’s two gay bars (Icon).

The room is large (about 12' x 12') with lots of closet space, and faces the street side. The apartment also has a great living room (about 12' x 11') and a real kitchen-sized kitchen. There are hardwood floors throughout. My bedroom is on the complete opposite side of the apartment, so there is an added level of privacy.

I am looking for someone who is fairly clean (clutter is ok but keep it contained to your room). I am not a stickler about doing the dishes or cleaning once a week, as long as it gets done when it is needed. OK with any gender (trans-friendly here) and prefer to live with other queer people, but any are welcome as long as you’re gay-friendly. I am not strict about noise either (especially since sound doesn't make it from bedroom to bedroom) but please know that the neighbors do not like extreme noise (i.e. no extremely loud music, no shouting after reasonable hours, etc). No smokers please and unfortunately no pets allowed. Pie in the sky: I’d love to find someone who wants to be friendly and likes their roommate to be an occasional dinner, movie, or video game buddy, but it’s not a must.

The rent is $1300/month. Utilities are electric, cooking gas, and WiFi, which we will split down the middle. I don’t have cable, so if you want to pay for that, it would be solely your responsibility but I’m happy to go swapsies on streaming services.
