About Me

Hi! My name is Amy and I'm a rising senior at New York University, majoring in Drama (with a concentration in playwriting). My roommate, April, is a graduate of the NYU Tisch Film & Tv department, and works at a talent agency. We're looking for a third roommate to renew our lease in Stuytown beginning August 1st.

A little bit more about me:
I'm a playwright/actor/costume designer/most things in theater. I'm also a certified makeup artist, so if you need a Look™ for a night out, hmu. Usually during week nights I chill at home, but I love to go out over the weekend. I like museums, drag/burlesque shows, concerts, etc.

About the room:
This is the master bedroom! Rent for the master is $1950 (heat, water, electricity, and a/c all included). The master room includes TWO huge closets, plenty of natural light and enough space to fit a ton of furniture. All that'd be due if you commit is a security deposit + regular monthly rent payments beginning August 1.
This is the master bedroom within an apartment that has a kitchen (which includes a dishwasher and microwave!), a full bathroom (with a shower/bathtub big enough to take a bath in, if that's your thing!), and a large living area (couch, TV, and four person dining table).
The apartment itself is newly renovated, laundry is in the basement and it’s located on 18th St and 1st Ave — close to the L train, Union Square and Trader Joe’s! It's a nice, central location while still maintaining ~residential vibes~ for when you want to get away.

About us/our dynamic:
Everyone always says "clean and respectful" and that applies here as well. We prefer that the common areas stay clean (and above all, hygienic), but can understand if it isn't spotless. Overall, our policy seems to be that we are all adults, and trust each other to take care of our messes. In general, we value kind and direct communication.
April also has an adorable cat named Blue! She (the cat) is very low maintenance. She won't bother you if you want to be left alone, but if you want some company, she will happily play with you!
We're both definitely open to making a new friend, but also respect if you prefer to be on your own. We also are cool with guests, so long as we just let each other know if it's going to be more than a few people in the common area.
The opening in our lease is ideal for someone who knows they're going to be in the city for the next year (i.e. students, full-time employees, etc).

A decision will have to be made by August 1st. Here if you have any questions or would like to see the apartment (happy to do virtual tours as well!). Please let us know if you're interested!
