I have a room available June 1st for a yearlong lease in East Harlem for $1,300 a month.

Details on the Building:
The apartment is on the 10th floor of a 12 floor building. Have no fear, it is an elevator building and in the one year that I have been living here, there was only a span of one hour where the elevators did not work. There is laundry room on the 12th floor that is priced $6 for a wash and dry. The building has roof access with some pretty great views. There is a garbage shoot and a recycling room on each floor. There is a doorman at night and all day on the weekends (James, who is the absolute best) and an onsite super during the weekdays. The building has a central fire alarm and sprinklers. Residents tend to be young professionals or young families. The building is right between the 125th 4/5/6 subway and the 120th 6 subway. The Metro North stop is about an 8 minute walk. I work by the Empire State Building and it takes a little under 30mins door to door to give you an idea of commute time.

Details on the apartment:
The apartment is a true two bedroom. The bedrooms are the exact same size, just mirror images of each other. The bathroom is a good size. There is a hall storage closet that we share. The living room and kitchen are an open floor plan. There is a balcony facing south. Utilities wise, we are responsible for cable and electricity. Currently, the cable bill runs around $75 each. We are currently paying for some premium sport channels, but I am open to editing the package. Electricity is less than $30 each for most of the year. We do not pay for heating. During the three months of summer, the bill does spike because of AC usage.

Details on the room:
The room is about 10X12. The true gems of the room are the window and the closet. The window faces east and the sunrises are amazing (but if you aren't up with the sun, blackout curtains work great). Under the window is a spot for a wall AC. The closet is a double closet. So much storage. The pictures included in this post are of my room. The bed is a queen to give you some idea of the size. I also think you can tell a lot about someone by their room. Analyze away.

Details on me:
I guess if you have made it this far, I should introduce myself. My name is Kaitlyn and by the time you move in, I will have reached the middle of the 20s. I do IT work for an energy brokerage company. I travel a lot, normally at least once a month. I am obsessed with soccer (hence the sports package). I have a cat named Taylor who will live with us. She stays locked in my room when I am work, but I do open my door when I am home to let her run around a little bit. She a fat asthmatic cat with half a tail who needs all the exercise she can get. She is in the apartment with the leasing company's permission. I clean the litter box, housed in my room, multiple times a week. She goes on vacations to my parent's home when I am away, so don't worry about me asking you to look after her. Cleaning wise, I like to think of myself as clean. I go for the clean but lived in kinda apartment look. I'd also like to call myself a considerate and good roommate (but let's be real, who wouldn't say that.)

Must make at least $50,000 (40x the rent)
Okay with my cat.

No intention to murder me in my sleep (or at all preferably)

Due on signing is first month rent and a deposit of 1,300 to be paid to my current roommate.
