Hey everyone,
I'm originally from Texas, but took a 10 year pit-stop in New Orleans on my way to New York. I started my journey in New Orleans at Tulane University where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health and Spanish and a Master's Degree in Biostatistics. I hate to admit it, but my Spanish is pretty miserable now (though Duolingo is helping).
I have one cat named Sebastian. He's an elderly (8yo), overweight (15lbs), cross-eyed, declawed flame-point Siamese that I rescued a few years ago. Needless to say, he's quite the entertaining hunter (definitely a lover not a fighter) and has never had a bathroom accident.
I'm usually an early bird. I tend to wake up at or before 7 AM every day, but sometimes don't actually get out of bed until later (10-12). I think that a clean bathroom and kitchen are the most important things to come home to after a long day at work. I usually think that doing dishes and vacuuming are very cathartic, and on the other hand, I hate laundry more than I should (it's really the folding that gets me). Not to toot my own horn, but I'm also an above-average cook/baker (known in certain circles for my cheesecakes).
I'm looking for someone who can be relied on to pay rent on-time and in-full. I don't like guns in the house (maybe that's not as much of an issue in New York as it is in the south). I'm Jewish (reformed and mildly religious), so I'd like to meet someone who is willing to put up with hosting the occasional religious excuse for a dinner party. I'm looking for someone who has no food/alcohol restrictions for what can be kept in the house.
