Respectful roommate- sociable, but is able to give plenty of space. I keep the apartment clean, especially the common areas, however am not an obsessive-compulsive. Sometimes there may be a bit of clutter (especially if it's a busy week), however for the most part I keep things pretty picked up. In fact, I can work with all levels of preference when it comes to cleanliness :-)
Now, since my job requires I get there early, this natural night owl is typically in bed by 10pm. I don't mind someone who stays up later than me and is in the common space, I just ask that any roommate be respectful during the work week (Sun-Thurs) and keep the craziness to a minimum...
Typically during the week I take it easy, so may be home after work often. However, this can vary week to week. On the weekends, there are some weekends I'm barely home and others when I stay close to home. Typically it'll depend on my travel schedule, however I mostly have a t least a couple of things going on over the weekends and, when I am at home, am extremely flexible when it comes to sharing the common areas of the apartment. If my roommate wants to be alone, fine. If they don't mind company, cool with me.
Honestly, I'm pretty laid back and get along with most anyone. As long as the other person is respectful and open to communicating preferences and compromising at times, it's all good.

2 bdrm/2 bath Condo Quality Apartment
Amazing 2 bdrm/2 bath that was originally built as a condo. The apartment has incredible sound proofing and, with no neighbors on either side, is extremely quiet.
As for amenities inside the apartment, we pretty much everything: in-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, garbage disposal, central a/c and heat... and even a gas fireplace in the living room! Granite counter tops and an island open the living room make the shared space incredibly welcoming and functional. In fact, this building was renovated to be sold as condos, however after the renovation was complete, the owner decided to rent them out as apartments instead.
In addition, there's a nice balcony off the living room with an open view facing East and storage space within the apartment is incredible- with good size closets both in bedrooms and shared spaces, as well as deep storage cupboards above all closets within the apartment.
As for the building, you couldn't ask for a better place for the price. It's a 5 story building with an elevator and a communal rooftop deck, complete with great views of Andersonville and even a bit of Lake Michigan- and grills are allowed. There is also a multi-purpose room up on the 5th floor and a storage unit in the basement. And as if that wasn't enough, in the basement there is also an air-conditioned, carpeted gym which has cable t.v., treadmils, a stair stepper, stationary bike, free weights, weight machines and even an area setup bar-method style exercises. Furthermore, outside the building, there is a secured area to lock up your bike.
This is a great building, with the majority of the tenants being very nice professionals. Many dogs in the building and all are well-behaved. In addition, the location is absolutely incredible. Right at Foster & Clark you are in the heart of Andersonville with many restaurants, bars and the lakefront within easy walking distance. Red line and Metra stops are also within walking distance, as well as Clark, Broadway, Dame and Foster buses. You can pretty much get anywhere in the city from here with ease.
