About Me

Hey future roommate:

We are your perfect match if you are an expat and/or young professional moving to the city, and wanting to live in one of the coolest neighborhoods in New York without the pain of going through a broker’s fee or having to keep searching for the most amazing apartment available as early as Nov. 15/ Dec 1 and flexible move-in.

Your dream apartment: Chelsea sublease from November 15 through June 30th. USD 2.250 (or 1.929 net effective as June is a free month) at prime 23rd. and 9th. location, 3 true bedroom luxury renovation and extremely bright duplex apartment with 1.5 bathroom (one block away from the A,C,E train and 2 blocks away from the 1 train). You know you’ve made it in the concrete jungle as it has in-unit washer, dryer and dishwasher.

Open to renewal when the lease is over. This place is a true rare gem and anyone who knows the NY real estate market can assure you this.

Chelsea is one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the city, and where “actual New Yorkers” live and hang-out. Steps away from the art galleries, the high line, Google, Chelsea Market, West Village, and roughly 15 mins away Union Square and the East Village. It is perfectly located and convenient enough to commute to Midtown or FiDi.

Our expectation:

In search of a friendly and very respectful roommate who likes to keep the house IMPECCABLE (neat freak alert if you are not someone who likes to keep it that way it is not gonna work) and smelling good. Your pet peeves include hair on the shower floor, mess in the common areas and unwashed dishes in the sink for more than 24 hours. You like to keep a nice and calm environment at home.

Also, communication is fundamental and highly appreciated on our side. We will sometimes annoy each other and it is important to take it off our chest ASAP.

Splitting the housekeeping is also what we have done in the past and has worked pretty well. Also open to have a cleaning lady every week or every two weeks and split the costs if it eases the burden and then we will not have to split the tasks (opportunity cost at its best). Both current roommates are easygoing and like for our home to be a peaceful and pleasant place. TOTALLY over college-lifestyle with regards to out apartment; meaning: our home will not to be a party place (sorry non negotiable). Yet we are OK if either of us wants to have friends over for dinner or wine every now and then (and as long as we let each other know with prudent notification). OK with visitors but we expect that you BF/GF is not another roommate de facto. LBTQ+ friendly, not 420 friendly inside the apartment.

We are looking forward to finding another roommate with the same expectations, and to have a great time while we live together.

If you think that we could be a good fit please hit me up ASAP and use the word “orchid” so that I know that you actually read the whole piece.
