Astoria- Large 3BD- 1 Female Roommate Wanted for January 1

Hello!

I have a fabulous room for rent in my Astoria apartment, located right around the corner from the Astoria Blvd subway station (seriously 1 min away, not to mention the Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks on the way!) and about a 5 min walk from 30th Ave (a great main street with bars & restaurants). I am looking for someone who will be good fit as a new roommate.

The Nitty Gritty:
• Move in ready January 1, 2018
• Rent is $950/month + about $30-60 in utilities (gas & electric)

Pets:
Please note that I have 1cat (super friendly and won’t bother you in your room) and unfortunately cannot accommodate any more animals at this time.

About the Apartment:
There is a large kitchen with a gas stovetop/oven, dining room, huge living room, balcony and a recently updated bathroom. The apartment building has 3 apartments and ours is the top floor (3rd floor).

About the room:
There is 1 large window and it gets a lot of natural light (unless you close the curtains so you can sleep late). There is also a good size closet. It can easily fit a full size bed.

About the neighborhood:
• Extremely safe (+ there is a police precinct a few blocks away)
• 1 min walk to the subway N/W – Astoria Blvd station
• 5 min walk to 30th Ave (a great main street with bars & restaurants)
• There are tons of grocery stores and laundromats, great brunch spots, ice cream shops, & bars a short walk away. I love living here because everything you need is close by.
• Less than 20 mins to Midtown

What we are looking for:
Female in her mid-late twenties – early thirties. I want someone who will be respectful and clean in common areas of the apartment, cleaning her own dishes, etc. Essentially, we are hoping to find someone that will be a wonderful roommate and hopefully a friend!

About Us:
You'd be sharing the apartment with me, Libby. I’m a 30-year-old slight work-aholic. My schedule is a little strange, but normally I work 6 days a week. I am a Client Manager for a Global Insurance company in Midtown full-time and a Wedding Coordinator part-time.

I have lived in this apartment for 3 years (2 ½ with my sister and cousin and now with new lovely roommates). Six months ago, Shalene and Lauren moved in and it’s been great! However, Lauren is moving out to go to nursing school in Boston so Shalene and I are looking for a new roomie.

Shalene is also 30 and is an Ireland native. She’s been living in Astoria for 8 years and loves it! She is a manager at a restaurant in mid-town.

We are both outgoing, love to have fun and hate drama. After work, we like to chat over wine. It seems weird talking about ourselves on this, so email us so we can set up a time to meet.
