About Me

About Me:

I am a queer cis woman who works for a Brooklyn-based social services nonprofit, and I commute to the office five days a week. I like exploring new areas of the city, photography, trips to the botanic garden and other outdoor areas of the city (but I am a terrible plant carer and have none of my own), making and eating baked goods, and The Sims. I am introverted but not anti-social and fall somewhere in the middle of the neat-freak/slob spectrum.

What I am Looking For in a Roommate:
• Someone who is financially responsible and behaves like a functional adult
• Between late-20s and late-40s
• Fully vaxxed/boosted
• MUST be LGBT friendly. If you are uncomfortable with queer people, please do not respond.
• Must be respectful of vegetarians. I don’t care if you eat or prepare meat in the apartment (to each their own), but I do ask that we respect each other’s dietary preferences, regardless of what those are.
• Not be either extreme of the neat-freak/slob spectrum.
• No drugs other than alcohol or 420
• No cigarette smoking inside
• We don’t have to be friends, but we do need to get along and be respectful of each other.
• No MAGA/Q-Anon/anti-vaxxer types, please!

What I am Looking For in an Apartment:
• A large bedroom (big enough for a queen-size bed, a wingback chair, an armoire, desk and chair, and four bookshelves of varying size)
• Private bath preferred, but I will consider rooms without one if everything else is ideal
• Dishwasher a big plus
• Washer and dryer in-unit nice but not strictly necessary
• Preference for walking distance to A/C or J trains, or ability to get to those trains with one transfer
• I don't necessarily need to be on a lease, but I am looing for something long-term and would like to stay in an apartment for at least a year.

My monthly budget includes utilities; if utilities are not included in the rent, subtract $75-$100 from my maximum budget.

My maximum monthly budget 1,300
