Available Room for Rent
Seeking 1 Roommate to Live in a 3 Bedroom/2 Bathroom Apartment in Woodside, Queens - Lease Starts June 1
AVAILABLE ROOM/APARTMENT DETAILS:
The apartment has three bedrooms and two bathrooms in total.
My two current roommates are moving out (one is moving in with her boyfriend, the other is moving into a co-op). I have found one roommate and need a second.
The roommate I am searching for would take the second largest bedroom. This room fits a full bed, bookshelf, desk and room to spare. The full bed is also available to keep so no need to purchase or transport a bed! This person will share the bathroom with the other new roommate.
I will live in the third room which is a private room.
Each room has its own closet. There are also two closets for additional storage in the hallway.
The living room and kitchen both have an ample amount of space. I grew up in an apartment not big enough for a dishwasher so I know the benefits of a big kitchen!
COST:
Each roommate currently pays between $750 and $850, depending on the size of the room. Utilities and wifi are not included, but on average cost $60 per person (which currently includes cable, though this won’t be the case moving forward).
Security deposit is due upon signing the lease.
NEIGHBORHOOD:
It is 6 blocks away from the M, R Northern Boulevard station. It is 5 stops away from midtown Manhattan. It takes me a half hour to get to work in midtown. It is also 2 stops away from the Jackson Heights - Roosevelt Avenue express stop where the E, F, M, R and 7 are available.
BUILDING:
The apartment is located in a three unit building on a tree-lined, neighborhood street.
ROOMMATE QUALITIES:
I am a female looking for a roommate, preferably female as well, who are on the quiet side and like to keep things neat. We currently split the apartment chores such as taking out the trash/recycling and cleaning the bathroom. The other roommate moving in is also in her twenties. She is a kind, driven woman who's sociable and easy-going.
